How did you commence loving jewelry?
My mother was this tremendous incredible, modern female. She beloved her silk robes and classic perfume bottles and usually had her hair performed. I swear I never ever realized the female devoid of a comprehensive face of make-up and the most attractive jewelry and outfit to match. So, my fascination commenced with trying on all her jewelry and dancing all around in her dresses.
I was also incredibly intrigued by science and producing issues with my fingers – my father was a development worker and my grandfather was a master carpenter – we experienced a lot of artists, makers, and sculptors in the relatives.
A single working day, my mom acquired me this crystal escalating kit – you combine salts, mature it in the backyard, and you’re left with these quartz crystal clusters. My mom gave me her pear-shaped diamond ring (that was missing the diamond) and recommended I make one particular of my crystals to suit in the setting. The salt crystals ended up amazingly brittle so I used my mom’s nail data files and my dad’s carpentry applications to style this pear-shaped stone. All those are some of my earliest recollections of jewelry creating.
